Working Parties

We can be found at the Cabin, Lynnsport Railway each Wednesday from 10am to 4pm, and Sundays from noon till 4pm. It is worth checking with the Committee members that we will be there, especially if you intend to visit for the first time... contact Don or Ron

About to do some welding...

Recent jobs have included work on the Cabin, on remodelling the Railway, boiler testing, track construction and overhauling locomotives. Whether you're a skilled welder or a wire brush wielder, there's something for everyone to do.

Monthly Meetings
Our meetings take place at Lynnsport, upstairs in The Wembley Room - please tell the reception staff you are coming to see us and they will let you through the turnstiles, and give you directions through the building. Meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning at 7.30pm and usually close down around 9.30pm. Members tend to congregate in the bar area prior to the meetings so we're easy to find!

The exceptions to the above are the barbeque nights and Fun Runs, which are held down at the track, these start at an earlier time in order to make the most of the daylight. See the listings below for more details

Below are details for the next few meetings, for details of the locations see the 'Where to Find Us' page

We are delighted to announce that Wing Commander Ken Wallis has kindly agreed to speak at our Club Meeting at Lynnsport at 7:30 pm on 9th November 2010

Wing Commander Ken Wallis retired from the RAF in 1964. While in the RAF and posted in the USA, he developed a passion for autogyros and when he
retired in 1964 he developed his ideas towards the use of these  for aerial surveillance, aerial survey work and photography etc. He went on to set
17 World Records for the autogyro many of which are still unbeaten.

His name became famous when he produced and flew "Little Nellie" in the James Bond movie "You Only Live Twice".
