Stronger Club Loco now available for use
posted 4/04/2013

Thanks to the generosity of one of our long standing members, we have been able to swap the Club's 5" gauge Class 08 shunter with a 7.25" gauge Drewry Class 04 outline locomotive of 1hp.

With our more frequent running and longer, heavier trains, poor 'Gerry' couldn't keep up and had been confined to the Clubhouse whilst we depended on the membership to provide motive power. The new Drewry locomotive is stronger and with a good set of batteries will haul all day, taking the pressure off the regulars!

Speakers for March and May Meetings
posted 7/03/2013

On 12th March we have a talk on the famous Lynn engineering firm Frederick Savage's, by Tim Thorpe of King's Lynn Museum. Tim was originally booked for May but the guys from the Museum of the Broads have had to postpone.

The meeting on the 14th May is now 'Subject To Be Confirmed'... will post up as soon as we have something organised.

Meetings are open to non-members and no entrance fee is charged; however purchase of a raffle ticket to aid club funds would be most appreciated.
