Membership Types

A brief explanation of our membership types that we have on offer; not in full detail but enough to give potential members an idea of what to expect. Full details available from the Club on request.

Standard adult membership

This is for one individual and entitles them to:

• access to club facilities and services
• admission to club meetings and events
• receive copies of the quarterly Newsletter
• ability to vote at the AGM and other meetings
• cover under the Club’s public liability insurance when operating models at Club events and functions
• use of the Club locomotive
• if deemed competent by club officials, members may drive and/or guard trains conveying the general public on our Sunday running days. The member’s own locomotive may be used, provided it has the correct coupling, braking and safety chain arrangements

Junior Membership

For 12-18 year olds who are not active modellers, but take an interest in the club and wish to come along and partake in events.

• receive copies of the quarterly newsletter
• admission to club meetings and events
• may be taught to drive the battery electric trains under supervision at private Club running day
• will be allowed to help with the simpler tasks involved in our club projects, under supervision

Under 18s will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian to club events.
